The Journey of High-End Fashion
We don’t believe in barriers. We set out to prove that we could make a product that belongs at the top of the fashion industry -
a couture-level bag made from upcycled materials, designed and made completely by women in recovery.
The thoughtful, ethical design of this bag is demonstrated in every detail -
from the upcycled premium leather, to the custom tear-drop-shaped hardware.
To refine our fashion aesthetic and increase our design and production skills, our Creative Lead, Amanda Richline, was coached by John Bartlett, Director of Fashion for Executive and Professional Studies for Parsons Executive Education Program at The New School, and Carlos Saavedra, former Design Director for Henri Bendel And former Vice President of Design for the Ralph Lauren Handbags Division.
Together they selected our most premium leather and began a design process to
create a product line that would showcase the talent of our team.
The Atelier Premier Bag was born.

Artisan Kaylene Hart crafts the bags with skills she learned under the direction of one of New York City’s best couture-brand sample makers. Additional coaching was provided in sourcing finishings from exclusive suppliers such as Italian edge dyes, premium hardware, and more.

Where did the name “Atelier'' come from?
In fashion, atelier products are regarded as the masterpieces a designer creates for individual customers. Like these custom pieces, our Atelier line demonstrates our capability to craft couture-style products with sophisticated details such as leather piping and custom hardware.
Our seasoned artisans, all women in recovery, are on a journey of evolving their professional skills even while they are rebuilding their lives. Unshattered is more than a fashion brand; it is a safe environment for women to become part of a community that has overcome addiction and is moving beyond sobriety toward healing and growth.
