October's Featured Artisan
Moving to a new school as a preteen pushed Amanda toward experimental drug use to fit in. Then a car accident led to over-prescription of pain killers that developed into a heroin addiction.
Today, Amanda is a sober mom, a leader and a talented custom handbag designer! Recently named 40 under 40 in Dutchess County, Amanda is our Product Manager and Creative Lead here at Unshattered!
We’re happy to see Amanda flourish in recovery and can’t wait to see what other great things she’ll do; “I really feel like I am achieving wholeness. My mental, my physical, my spiritual, and my financial health are being positively affected from working at Unshattered.”
Our Bags Have Secrets
We feature a gold thread in each bag as a nod to the Japanese art form of Kintsugi.
Historically gold was used to repair the cracks in broken pottery.
This process was so beautiful that it become a form of art and that term now means: more beautiful for having been broken.
JUST LIKE OUR WOMEN.
